Lipa Noi Viewpoint - Peak Eye Viewpoint (south/west) - 2-3 hours
The Lipa Noi Viewpoint - Peak Eye Viewpoint Trek is a strenuous walking tour.
We start the same way to the Lipa Noi Viewpoint as the short trek. We will start at an old half cement - half dirt road about 225 meter above sea level, that will lead us uphill to a beautiful viewpoint looking out over the west coast of Koh Samu. A steep but steady climb of about 175 meter on a beautiful road leading through different lush green forests as well as plantations.
From the moment we start walking we will be rewarded with stunning views over the west side of the island and the 5 islands. On a clear day you can even see all the way to the main land. The higher we get the wider the view and even a glimps on the south of the island.
Just before the highest top (which is military ground and cannot be reached) at about 600 meter above sea level, we will go down on the Taling Ngam side, folllowing an old cement road. We will end in the Peak Eye Viewpoint offering amazing views over the south of Samui.
We advise to wear shoes for this hike to prevent any injuries. The sand can be very slippery when dry so you need a good grip. The tour will take 2 up to 3 hours depending on our pace and the lengths of our rests.
